Bandhan Bank ties up with Govt
On December 19, 2022, Bandhan Bank made the announcement that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Controller General of Defence Accounts, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, to provide banking services to Defense Pensioners and their families.

Through its 557 branches, the Bank will offer services to Defense Pensioners and their families. The Bank is in line with the government’s goal of providing Defense pensioners with a one-stop shop for all of their pension-related needs as part of the Outreach Program for Defense Pensioners on System for Pension Administration Raksha (SPARSH).

The MoU was signed in New Delhi in the presence of Smt. Rasika Chaube, Financial Advisor (Defence Services), Shri Sham Dev, IDAS, Controller, O/o PCDA (Pensions), Prayagraj, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, Shri Giridhar Aramane, IAS, Defence Secretary, and Shri Debraj Saha, Head – Government Business, Bandhan Bank.
The Defence Secretary virtually opened a SPARSH Service Center in Delhi Cantonment that provides a variety of services, including managing profile changes for Aadhar number, PAN number, postal address, and bank details, service requests and grievance redressal, annual life certification, and Pensioner Data Verification (PDV).
