Accor India and InterGlobe Hotels hosts Graduation Ceremony for Nursing students

A graduation ceremony for the 2021 cohort of the Nursing Assistant Program was held by Accor India and InterGlobe Hotels in association with the HOPE Foundation. This CSR initiative aims to equip young people from underserved communities with marketable medical skills. Over 100 students received their NSDC credentials at the occasion, which took place at the Ibis New Delhi Aerocity.

With more than 20 years of expertise in the training industry, The HOPE Foundation is a pan-Indian organisation that uses education, training, and health initiatives to catalyse change for the impoverished. Over 50,000 children, women, and men’s lives are impacted annually by their efforts. Education for poor children, healthcare, vocational training for young people, and grants or interest-free loans are among their main areas of engagement.

A short-term vocational training programme in paramedical skills called the Nursing Assistant Program was developed in 2019 by Accor India and the HOPE Foundation in response to the expanding demand for human resources in the medical industry.

An NSDC certification was offered after the learning program’s three months of classroom instruction and six months of on-the-job training.

InterGlobe Hotels

In June 21, InterGlobe Hotels joined forces on this adventure with the goal of giving impoverished people the chance to develop their skills and start a stable career.

The inaugural cohort of the nursing assistant programme started in Sangam Vihar, New Delhi, in 2019, with the aim of giving 60 participants from underserved neighbourhoods a high-quality education and work experience.

The Senior Vice President of Operations for Accor India and South Asia, Mr. Puneet Dhawan, commented on the CSR initiatives implemented by the company, saying, “We are pleased to felicitate students with their course completion certificate. At Accor, we’re dedicated to creating a better future for both current and future generations, and projects like these that support corporate social responsibility help us get there. It is satisfying to witness the lives that this programme has the potential to change. We continue to demonstrate our dedication to empowering young people and fostering career prospects in the hospitality industry, supporting the development of India.

Mr. JB Singh, President & CEO of InterGlobe Hotels, commented on the collaboration by saying: “Knowledge and skills are the engines that propel every nation’s economic and social progress. Higher- and better-skilled nations are better able to respond to global opportunities and problems. Giving back to the community is ingrained in the ethos of InterGlobe Hotels, which supports the company’s mission of “True Hospitality for Good.” We are pleased to discover that the Hope Foundation and our peers share the same dedication to improving the world. In order to further this important goal and improve people’s lives, we will continue to collaborate with Accor and the Hope Foundation.
