UPSC to conduct exam for Indian Railways from 2023

Exam for Indian Railways – The Ministry of Railways stated on Friday that a specifically designed exam would be used to select candidates for the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS). Beginning in 2023, it will be managed by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

A preliminary screening will be followed by a main written exam and interview as the two components of the IRMS. To be considered for the second stage, the IRMS main written exam, eligible candidates must pass the Civil Services (Prelims) exam.

There will be four papers in the IRMS (Main) exam, each with traditional essay-style questions.

Exam for Indian Railways

There will be four papers in the IRMS (Main) test, each having classic essay-style questions. Paper A for Part 1 will be for an Indian language that the candidate selects from those that are mentioned in the constitution’s eighth schedule. It would have a 300 mark value. English-language paper B will have 300 points.

The optional subjects 1 and 2 in Part 2 will be worth a combined 250 marks. Part 3 will come next, and it will consist of a personality test for 100 points.

Civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and business and accounting are the optional topics available.
