Fareportal India to Extend focus on Education and Infrastructure with New CSR Partnerships

Fareportal India to focus on Education, Infrastructure

Fareportal India – 40 male orphans who are physically and intellectually handicapped are housed in Mother Teresa’s Anandashram facility. It is situated in Old Berhampur and was established in 2004.

In collaboration with four NGOs, the travel technology business Fareportal India plans to increase its emphasis on corporate social responsibility. They currently sponsor CanKids and Nayi Disha in addition to their recent partnerships with Anandashram and Lotus Petal Foundation. Their initiatives seek to provide children from medically and economically disadvantaged backgrounds with the fundamental necessities of accessible education and infrastructure. Together, these collaborations serve to open doors for students and young people to experience educational opportunities that will foster their professional and personal development.

40 male orphans who are physically and intellectually handicapped are housed in Mother Teresa’s Anandashram facility. It was established in 2004 and is situated in Gurgaon’s Old Berhampur, close to Bandwari Village. Anandashram struggles with power outages and escalating electricity prices. The construction of a solar power plant that will address both problems by significantly lowering electricity costs and addressing the problem of power supply interruptions is what Fareportal proposes to finance and project manage. An environmentally friendly solution will also be offered by a solar power facility, in keeping with Fareportal’s ESG focus.

A second CSR collaboration between Fareportal and the Lotus Petal Foundation in Dhunela, Sohna, Gurugram. The organisation, which was founded in 2013, offers education through a variety of channels, including the Vidyananda School for disadvantaged pupils and the Vidya Sahyog Program, which works with the government to help 78 government schools. Additionally, they manage the Pratishthan programme, which prepares teenagers who are not in school for the workforce, and the Jeevika vocational training programme. Fareportal will use a mobile van to teach fundamental computer skills to kids in government schools as an extension of the Vidya Sahyog initiative. A total of 40 government schools have been gradually added as part of the initiative. Up to 12 schools per week will receive service from the delivery van, which can hold about 120 laptops and help about 3,600 students.

In order to help children whose on-site education is interrupted due to their cancer treatment, Fareportal teamed up with CanKids in 2021–2022, as part of their Canshala initiative. The cost of 100 tablets, as well as related training and infrastructure expenses, was covered by Fareportal. In order to expand the reach of the earlier program, Fareportal will build on the partnership established in 2021–2022 by funding additional tablets and infrastructure.

For the past three years, Fareportal has collaborated with Nayi Disha. The major goal of Nayi Disha is to get poor kids ready for regular education. All of Nayi Disha’s fixed costs and operating expenses are covered by Fareportal. At their location in the Harijan settlement, Fareportal is also contributing to the expansion of the school this year. As their corporate sponsor, Fareportal supports Nayi Disha’s mission to assist children and young adults from underserved communities in realising their potential through education and developing into socially and economically responsible adults.

According to Myrelle Machado, VP of Finance at Fareportal, the company’s approach to these collaborations is as follows: “Fareportal thinks that the foundation of creating a thriving community is the education of our youth and the environmentally responsible construction of essential infrastructure. Fareportal is increasing its CSR.
