Anuj Vsihwakarma joins upGrad
Anuj Vishwakarma, a startup veteran who has previously worked for Ola, Paytm, and Myntra, has been named the President of online higher-education programmes at upGrad. In his new position, Vishwakarma will be in charge of scaling the online higher education sector and putting growth best practices into action at the unicorn edtech company helmed by Ronnie Screwvala.

upGrad announced a $30 million investment for offline expansion earlier in November. The edtech startup intends to hire 1,000 PhDs for its specialized programmes and open 10 data science-focused offline institutes in the US, Singapore, Middle East, and India in 2023. Prior to that, in August, the business raised $210 million from well-known investors like Kaizen Management Advisors, Bodhi Tree Systems, and ETS Global.
