Medi Assist acquires major stake in Mayfair
On Thursday, the insurtech company Medi Assist Healthcare Services Ltd said that it had paid an unknown sum for the majority of the shares of UK-based Mayfair We Care, an administration service provider with a focus on healthcare.

A global company with headquarters in the UK has bought a 60% interest from Medi Assist.
Through the acquisition, Medi Assist will be able to extend its customer base outside of India and offer global access to medical benefits and health plan management.

Additionally, clients of both businesses may now access integrated services globally via a combined platform with one of the biggest global healthcare networks, according to a statement from Medi Assist.
Through this acquisition, Medi Assist will also be able to provide businesses the freedom to tailor healthcare plans to the unique healthcare needs of their employees, as opposed to choosing the traditional “one-size-fits-all” health coverage plans, it stated.
Additionally, it claimed that Medi Assist will now be present in specialized markets like those for seafarers, international students, and sports teams.
