Meta submits detailed report about WhatsApp outage

The government and WhatsApp have not publicly disclosed any information about the costs associated with the outage. However, it is anticipated that the interruption would have a significant impact. Text messages could not be sent or received by users. Even WhatsApp voice and video calls were not working. During the downtime, the Status feature did not function, along with other essential services like WhatsApp Business and WhatsApp Pay.
At the height of the outage in India, over 30,000 reports were available, according to Downdetector. The majority of the major metropolises, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Lucknow, appeared to be the hotspots on the Downdetector live outage map. There had been an increase in reports of WhatsApp outages in other parts of the world as well. Blackout reports increased significantly in South Asian and few European nations as well.
