BYJUS partners with SOS Childrens Villages India for tech-driven learning solutions

BYJU’S and SOS Childrens Villages India to impart tech-driven learning solutions

Over 3500 economically disadvantaged children across India will receive tech-driven learning solutions from BYJU’S thanks to a partnership with SOS Childrens Villages India.

BYJU’S Education For All (EFA), a globally renowned non-governmental organization that supports children all over the world through various tailored care interventions, has partnered with SOS Children’s Villages India to educate and empower children from lower socioeconomic backgrounds through quality education and digital learning opportunities. More than 3500 licences, covering more than 28 urban and rural sites nationwide, have already been given out to students in numerous cities, including Chennai, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhuj, Faridabad, Alibaug, Raipur, and Kolkata.

Children from uncared-for families face a number of difficulties, including little or no access to the kind of education needed for a secure future. By providing free learning programmes to kids in grades 4 through 12 from various private and public schools across India, BYJU’S EFA and SOS Children’s Villages India hope to adopt multiple digital interventions and solve accessibility issues. These kids will get access to specialized, digitally enabled curriculum on the BYJU learning app that is tailored to each student’s individual learning needs. By signing the Memorandum of Understanding, BYJU’S and SOS Children’s Villages India are working to realize EFA’s goal of empowering 12 million underprivileged children in India by 2025.

Mansi Kasliwal, VP-Social Initiatives, BYJU’S, remarked in regards to the partnership, “Most youngsters are deprived of their first line of defense—their family. However, absence of parental supervision shouldn’t prevent kids from having equal learning chances. Our continual goal at BYJU’S has been to solve accessibility issues and offer tech-enabled learning programmes to kids through the intervention of transformative digital education in order to close the gap between high-quality education and digital access. In this regard, we are pleased to work with SOS Children’s Villages India, which correctly ensures that children, especially those without parents or who are in danger of losing them, are never denied access to their essential rights.

“At SOS Children’s Villages India, we secure wholesome child development, of which education is an essential important component. We do not provide child care. The epidemic caused the educational continuum to break down, especially for the underserved, which forced everyone to reconsider how teaching and learning may be efficiently facilitated. One such move has been the collaboration with BYJU’S, which has greatly assisted in ensuring the continuous provision of high-quality education. In regards to the partnership with BYJU’S, Mr. Sumanta Kar, Secretary General of SOS Children’s Villages India, expressed his ambition to advance it to the next stage for the greater good.
