CPCL MD meets Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu
CPCL MD – Tamil Nadu: On September 24, in Chennai, at the launch of the Green Tamil Nadu Mission, Mr. Arvind Kumar, Managing Director of CPCL, met the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. M.K. Stalin. Mr. Arvind Kumar expressed the support of CPCL for the programme, which is anticipated to boost the State’s green cover from 24% to 33%.
In his capacity as president of the Manali Industries Association (MIA), MD, CPCL handed out a check for Rs. 35 lakhs from various Manali industries, including Rs. 15 lakhs from CPCL, for the planting of trees in certain locations throughout Manali and its surrounds.
Speaking at the event, the Hon’ble Chief Minister stated that the mission’s ambitious goal is to plant 265 crore native tree seedlings in an area of roughly 13,500 sq. km over the course of ten years. Ms. Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary (Environment, Climate Change, and Forest) was present at the event in addition to other State Ministers and Officials.
