HP to create digital classrooms in government schools
On September 22, HP India announced that the HP Accessible Learning for All (ALFA) project in India would enable up to 2,000 digital classrooms.
For students in classes 9 and 12 in government or government-aided schools located in 17 States, these digital classrooms will be set up. According to a statement from the corporation, the move was in line with the government’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

To carry out this project, HP would cooperate with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), corporate foundations, and NGOs. According to the corporation, HP would pay for the capital expenses necessary to outfit each classroom with technology such as multi-function printers, webcams, a laptop for the teacher, smart TVs, Android boxes, and an internet dongle for connectivity.

“Through the HP ALFA programme, we seek to accelerate quality education for young children and inclusive access to skills, knowledge, and technological expertise,” HP India managing director Ketan Patel stated.
The students’ training programme would employ the DIKSHA course content and syllabus from the National Council for Educational Research & Training (NCERT). Additionally, the project would provide training for teachers to enable them to integrate technology-led instruction in classrooms and engage kids for greater learning.
