Campa Cola, Insight Cosmetics to Big Cola, Aakash Namkeen: Reliance Retail is spreading

Campa Cola – Reliance Retail Limited (RRL) is actively expanding its horizons. Reliance Retail is preparing to expand its portfolio of fast-moving consumer goods brands after successfully completing the acquisition of the soft drink company Campa earlier this month. According to a report in Mint, in addition to purchasing Indore-based Aakash Namkeen Pvt. Ltd., the company is anticipated to enter into a deal with AJE India, the company behind the carbonated beverage brand Big Cola. The purchase is consistent with the group’s strategy of entering all FMCG areas. Reliance Industry Limited chairman Mukesh Ambani made a suggestion that every effort would be made to make RRL the company’s largest revenue sector at the August general meeting of this year.

The AJE Group is a Peruvian firm with offices in Pune that manages its operations in India. It manufactures beverages under the Cfruit brand as well as soft drinks like Big Cola, Big Orange, and Volt. The paper states that RRL intends to capitalise on its current production facilities and distribution network throughout cities.

Aakash Namkeen produces traditional sweets like Besan Ke Ladoo, Gulab Jamun, and Soan Papdi as well as savoury foods like Ratlami Sev, Chivda, and Bhel.

It was previously reported that the company had purchased the renowned Campa brand from the Pure Drinks Group of New Delhi for an estimated Rs 22 crore, together with the cosmetics brand Insight Cosmetics. The organization is also said to be in discussions with a number of businesses, including well-known spice manufacturer Mahashian Di Hatti (MDH), Garden Namkeens, Lahori Zeera, and Bindu Beverages, for potential deals in their respective sectors.

Isha Ambani, who is in charge of Reliance’s retail division, stated that the company’s goal is to produce and provide high-quality, reasonably priced items that would suit every Indian’s everyday needs on August 29 during the company’s 45th annual general meeting. Reliance’s retail division, which is only second to the oil-to-chemicals sector in terms of income, generated close to Rs 2 lakh crore in FY22.
