RBI Assistant Mains Exam Pattern 2023

  • The RBI Assistant Mains Exam will include 200 questions distributed across five sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, and Reasoning Ability.
  • The total duration for the RBI Assistant Mains Exam is 135 minutes, with section-wise timing as mentioned below.
  • There will be a 0.25 mark penalty for each incorrect answer but no penalty for unanswered questions. The questions will be in the objective type format.
  • While the English Language section will be available in English only, the other sections can be attempted in English and Hindi.
  • Candidates who pass the Mains Exam can take the Language Proficiency Test (LPT), and the marks obtained in this stage will be counted in preparing the merit list.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT) 2023

  • Candidates provisionally shortlisted from the leading online examination must undergo a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).
  • The Language Proficiency Test will be conducted in the Official/Local Language of the State concerned, as detailed below. Candidates who need to be proficient in the Official/Local Language will be disqualified.
  • Only a specific number of candidates who rank sufficiently high in merit, based on the aggregate marks of the principal online examination, will be called for the Language Proficiency Test. The Bank will determine this merit list about the number of notified vacancies to be filled.
