Sexual stimulation
xvix Magazine teaches you about erotic and how to do it

Sexual stimulation consists of any stimulus that leads to arousal and orgasm. These stimuli can be both physical and mental, being able to be perceived by sensory receptors.

Physical stimulation involves tactile activities or body contact, such as stimulation of erogenous zones or kissing. Nerve receptors transmit signals to the brain, causing excitement.
Erogenous zones are parts of the body with great sensitivity that, through simple normal stimulation, cause a sexual reaction.
The sexual organs are obviously the most erogenous areas in both sexes. Other areas considered erogenous are the mouth, ears, breasts, back, buttocks, anus, neck, abdomen, and thighs. These areas can be stimulated both manually and orally.
Another form of physical stimulation can be a kiss, which involves the senses of touch, taste, and smell.

Psychic stimulation is the one that takes place without direct physical contact; this involves sexual stimulation through the senses (smell, taste, hearing, sight) or imagination. All these stimuli can trigger the sexual appetite either directly or by associating them with a previous experience.
A person’s sexual desire can be triggered by different smells, which can be bodily or different perfumes, or by a visual attraction; for example, men prefer different pictures of naked people in provocative positions, and women prefer materials with a romantic theme. Likewise, different auditory stimuli can trigger a person’s sexual appetite, these being in most cases associated with previous experiences.

Sexual stimulation causes different physiological reactions, in the case of both sexes, there is an increase in breathing rate, blood pressure, muscle tone, and heartbeat (tachycardia). The skin turns red in some places, and there is a dilation of the pupils and an erection of the nipples.
In the case of women, the signs of sexual stimulation are:

  • increase in breast size;
  • lubrication of the vagina;
  • swelling and erection of the clitoris;
  • more visible veins appear on the breasts;
  • lifting the uterus and widening the vagina;
  • changing the shape, color, and size of the upper and lower labia.

Signs of sexual stimulation in men:

  • erection of the penis and redness of its glans;
  • retraction and thinning of the foreskin, if present, usually exposing the glans penis if it is not normally exposed;
  • emission of pre-ejaculatory fluid;
  • the ascent of the testicles;
  • tension and thinning of the scrotum.
