To kill these demons, there are these guys called the demon hunters. We follow a boy named Shuu Ogata as he hunts for demons with his pink-haired badass partner Kisara. Now the really interesting thing about this show is the duo’s dynamic. You’ve got one badass boy and a badass girl teaming up to kill demons and make things even better; we’ve got the guy’s ex-girlfriend coming back too.

The romance is subtly developed and when the action starts to hit in, it knows how to boast about it with great animation. A must-watch anime for action romance lovers.

09. The Executioner and Her Way of Life

First, even though you see a guy in this show, most of this is yuri, so non yuri gang, it’s time to skip to the next one. The story goes off when a guy named Mutou gets transported to the world and immediately gets killed.

I know this one has a pretty distracting premise, but the girl who kills him turns out to be an assassin. Then she goes on to kill this girl who got isekai but then she realizes that there’s more to life than killing people.

Even though the yuri elements kick off many off and probably plummeted the score of this on my anime list, the show is pretty enjoyable and it’s one of those isekai shows where one thing happens after the other until you realize it; so that’s what they were leading up to. The Executioner and Her Way of Life is one of the best action romance anime of 2022 and you should try this one.

08. The Dawn of the Witch

Here we have a guy who is weak at magic, the world’s shortest witch, a human girl with antlers and a talking lizard man, and then we’ve got this white-haired girl too because everyone needs an Amelia in their story these days.

Anyways this whole story has a magical setting and the main character is also the type of fellow who looks like the underdog of the story before realizing his true power.

The story can be a bit confusing at times, not because it’s a spin-off of another series but because the plot can be pretty complex to understand. If you want to watch the original show, then you better watch this newly released action romance anime called Grimoire of Zero.

07. Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World

If you’re going to go watch this show expecting a well-structured story with some of the greatest characters ever written then this isn’t the show for you, and come on, we all know you went here after knowing what to expect.

Here Our MC Michio Kaga, who gets reborn in another world, decides to explore a dungeon and get some girls along the way. Now the good thing about this anime is how it delivers what it promises.

Most of the anime these days advertise one thing and then deliver something completely different but this one straight up goes and says so you brought your lonely self here to watch this guy get some girls, including a girl that closely resembles Raphtalia; well we’re going to show it to you. Also, there is an uncensored version of this one, so you know what I mean, right?

06. Trapped in a Dating Sim

I’ve told about this anime enough on the best romance show of 2022 list, but I feel like I also need to emphasize the action aspects of this show. Most of the people who go here think, huh, this is probably one of those dating games where the guy gets all the girls, and yes, that is correct.

The guy gets the innocent-looking girl, the princess, and even the queen of the country but this show also has some giant mecha battles plus an overpowered main character whose sidekick is an advanced A.I. In terms of romance, the show takes time to establish the main character’s relationship with every girl of the show so I’d call that pretty balanced.

So, if you are looking for new 2022 action romance anime where overpowered MC gets all the girls with some awesome mecha actions then Trapped in a Dating Sim is going to be a perfect choice for you.

05. Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? IV

Well, if the name’s too long, you may remember it as the anime called DanMachi. The first season followed the story of a boy named Bell Cranel, chosen by the goddess Hestia to protect a dungeon. That’s not all because along the way, he picks up girls in a dungeon.

Now you’re going to say, wait a minute, is this like a Harem Labyrinth in Another World? Well, that’s true but this one came first and this doesn’t have a girl like Raphtalia in it. The fourth season of this anime is airing right now and it seems like our MC is getting more girls but we all know who the best girl is, Ais Wallenstein.

Yes, that’s right, that’s my opinion and that’s final. So, if you love some other good dungeon exploring with the girls then this is the best new action romance anime for you.

04. The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody

This demon lord is way too overpowered so he decided to be born as somebody weak. Now, if you think this guy will be the story’s underdog, then you better squish your thoughts and throw them in a bin. Here we meet the demon lord Varvatos who decides to reincarnate with his magical strength set to average.

But when he gets reincarnated, he finds out the rest of the people in this world are weak as hell so he’s still pretty strong. If you thought this was the next Misfit of Demon King Academy, then you’re not wrong.

Even though this guy can’t kill somebody with his heartbeat, he can still make girls fall in love with him in a heartbeat. This doesn’t have a romance like some of the other anime on this list, but since this guy is the demon lord, he is like a walking magnet that attracts anime girls.

03. Love of Kill

What happens when two assassins fall in love with each other? Do we get Assassin’s Creed: The Rom-Com? Well, it’s something similar to that. Koroshi Ai is about one male assassin falling in love with a female assassin and giving her targets to kill to show his love.

Yeah, this guy probably needs to find a therapist soon. Love of Kill brings back some old tropes puts a fresh spin on them and gives us a love story that is brimming with love struggles and assassination missions.

Judging by the audience reactions, you’ll either have a love or a hate relationship with this anime but in terms of anime premises, this is pretty original. I mean, it’s not every day your boyfriend tells you to kill people.

02. The Case Study of Vanitas S2

Who doesn’t love vampires in this day and age? The story is centralized around Noé Archiviste, a guy searching for the legendary Book of Vanitas. Soon, he finds it in possession of a human named Vanitas, and this guy keeps calling for trouble. Vanitas no Karte has everything you can ask for in a good anime.

You’ve got characters with interesting backstories, some nice world-building, a mysterious enemy, plus an overly energetic main character who looks like some long-lost grandfather of Dazai. The girl who wants to kill our main character is actually a vampire, but once she tastes the blood of our main character, she becomes obsessed with him.

If you want one of those vampire-human stories with an interesting twist, then I think you definitely shouldn’t miss The Case Study of Vanitas. This is one of the best action romance anime of 2022, so do yourself a favor and watch this one.

It’s time to meet the devil of McDonald’s. We see main characters getting transported to isekai worlds all day, but what about the opposite side of the spectrum? Devil is a Part-Timer is about a demon lord of a fantasy world who was transported to our world along with his assistant.

Since he needs money, he decides to work in a cheap version of McDonald’s. Now working as a part-timer, he needs to find a way to get to his world as well as to survive from his world’s hero who has transported to our world as well.

Season 2 has just released in the summer of 2022 and it is airing right now, so if you finished up with the first season, then now is the perfect time to start binge-watching the second.
