English Conversation between two Friends  about Family

Julia: Hey Flora, how’s your family doing?

Flora: Hi Julia, they’re good, thanks! How about yours?

Julia: Oh, we’re hanging in there. Mom’s been busy with her garden lately, and Dad’s still obsessed with his DIY projects.

Flora: Sounds like things haven’t changed much then! How’s your little brother?

Julia: Oh, you know him, always causing trouble! But he’s doing okay. How about your sister? Is she still studying abroad?

Flora: Yeah, she’s in France for her semester abroad. She sends us pictures all the time, making us all jealous with her adventures!

Julia: That sounds amazing! I wish I could travel like that someday. How’s your mom coping with her being so far away?

Spoken English- A personal Interview

Flora: She misses her like crazy, but she’s also happy that she’s getting this experience. How’s your grandma doing?

Julia: She’s the same old Grandma, always full of stories and baking the best cookies. I should bring you some next time we meet up!

Flora: Oh, please do! I miss her cookies. It’s nice to hear everyone’s doing well.

Julia: Yeah, it really is. Family’s everything, right?

Flora: Absolutely. They drive us crazy sometimes, but we wouldn’t trade them for anything.

Julia: That’s for sure. Anyway, wanna grab some coffee and catch up some more?

Flora: Definitely! Let’s go.

English Conversation between two Friends  about Hobbies

Jenny: Hey Shelly, what have you been up to lately? Any new hobbies?

Shelly: Hey Jenny! Yeah, I’ve actually picked up knitting recently. It’s surprisingly relaxing. How about you?

Jenny: Knitting, huh? That sounds fun! I’ve been trying my hand at painting. It’s been a great way to unwind after work.

Shelly: Painting sounds awesome! What kind of stuff do you paint?

Jenny: Mostly landscapes and abstracts. I’m still experimenting with different styles and techniques.

Shelly: That’s cool! Have you shared any of your work online?

Jenny: Not yet, I’m still a bit shy about it. But maybe one day. How about you? Have you made anything cool with your knitting?

Shelly: Yeah, I’ve made a couple of scarves and even a cozy blanket for my cat. She loves it!

Jenny: Aw, that’s adorable! Maybe you can knit me a scarf sometime.

Shelly: Definitely! What color would you like?

Jenny: Surprise me! So, aside from knitting, anything else new and exciting in your life?

Shelly: Hmm, not really. Just trying to balance work and hobbies. Oh, I did start learning to play the guitar!

Jenny: No way, that’s awesome! You’ll have to play something for me next time we hang out.

Shelly: Deal! What about you? Any other hobbies you’re thinking of picking up?

Jenny: I’ve been considering learning a new language. Maybe Spanish or French.

Shelly: Ooh, très bien! That sounds like a fun challenge. We could practice together!

Jenny: Definitely! Let’s make it happen. So, when’s our next painting and knitting session?

Shelly: How about this weekend? We can combine our hobbies and have a blast.

Jenny: Sounds like a plan! I’ll bring the paints, you bring the yarn. Deal?

Shelly: Deal! Can’t wait.

Jevin: Hey Robin, have you been anywhere exciting lately?

Robin: Hey Jevin! Not lately, but I’m planning a trip to Thailand next month. I can’t wait!

Jevin: Thailand, wow! That sounds amazing. What are you most looking forward to?

Robin: Definitely the food! I’ve heard the street food there is incredible. How about you, any travel plans in the works?

Jevin: Not at the moment, but I’m itching to go on a hiking trip soon. Maybe explore some national parks around here.

Robin: That sounds like a great idea! Nature trips are always so refreshing. Any particular park you have in mind?

Jevin: I’ve been eyeing Yosemite National Park. The scenery there looks breathtaking.

Robin: Yosemite is stunning! You’ll have a blast. Just make sure to pack plenty of water and snacks.

Jevin: Will do! Hey, do you have any travel tips for Thailand? It’ll be my first time there.

Robin: Definitely try the local street food, but make sure it’s from a clean stall. And don’t forget to visit some temples, they’re absolutely beautiful.

Jevin: Thanks for the advice, I’ll keep that in mind. Oh, and speaking of temples, I heard there’s this amazing one in Bangkok, Wat Pho, with a giant reclining Buddha statue.

Robin: Yes, Wat Pho is incredible! You have to see it in person. Oh, and don’t forget to bargain when you’re shopping in the markets. It’s part of the fun!

Jevin: Bargaining, got it. I’ll channel my inner negotiator. Thanks for all the tips, Robin!

Robin: Anytime, Jevin! Let me know how your trip goes. And if you need any more advice, just give me a shout. Safe travels!

English Conversation between two Friends on Food

David: Hey Julia, have you tried any new restaurants lately?

Julia: Hey David! Not really, I’ve been mostly cooking at home. What about you?

David: Oh, I went to this amazing Italian place downtown last week. Their pasta was out of this world!

Julia: Italian food is always a winner. What did you have?

David: I tried their homemade fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. It was so creamy and flavorful.

Julia: That sounds delicious! I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. I need to check out that place sometime.

David: Absolutely, I’ll take you there next time! So, what’s been your go-to dish when cooking at home?

Julia: Lately, I’ve been experimenting with different stir-fry recipes. They’re quick, easy, and I can throw in whatever veggies I have on hand.

David: Stir-fries are so versatile! Do you have a favorite sauce you like to use?

Julia: I’ve been loving a homemade teriyaki sauce lately. It’s sweet, savory, and adds the perfect flavor to the dish.

David: That sounds amazing. I’ll have to come over for dinner sometime and try it out.

Julia: Absolutely, you’re always welcome! Hey, speaking of trying new foods, have you ever had sushi?

David: Yeah, I love sushi! There’s a great sushi place not too far from here. We should go together sometime.

Julia: That sounds like a plan! I’ve never tried sushi before, so you’ll have to show me the ropes.

David: Deal! We’ll make a sushi date out of it. Can’t wait!

English Conversation between two Friends on Health and Hygiene

David: Hey Julia, how’s everything going? Have you been taking care of your health?

Julia: Hey David! Yeah, I’ve been trying to stay on top of it. Been hitting the gym regularly and eating healthier.

David: That’s great to hear! Exercise and diet are so important for overall health. Have you been getting enough sleep too?

Julia: I’ve been trying, but you know how it is with work and everything. How about you? How’s your health been?

David: I’ve been trying to prioritize sleep more lately. It makes such a difference in how I feel during the day. And I’ve been focusing on staying hydrated too.

Julia: Hydration is key! I always have my water bottle with me. Have you been keeping up with your hygiene routines?

David: Definitely. Washing hands frequently, especially with everything going on, and making sure to shower daily.

Julia: Good habits! It’s so important to prevent the spread of germs. I’ve also been trying to be mindful of my mental health, taking breaks when I need them and practicing mindfulness.

David: That’s really important too. Mental health is just as crucial as physical health. How do you usually unwind and de-stress?

Julia: I enjoy reading, going for walks in nature, and practicing yoga. It helps me relax and clear my mind.

David: Those sound like great ways to unwind. I should probably pick up some of those habits myself.

Julia: Definitely give them a try! And if you ever need someone to join you for a walk or a yoga session, I’m here.

David: Thanks, Julia. I appreciate it. We should hold each other accountable for our health goals.

Julia: Absolutely, that sounds like a plan. Here’s to staying healthy and happy!
