The official website reads, “The Entrance Exam for COMEDK UGET Engineering Courses for the year 2024 will be held on Sunday, 12th May 2024.”

The COMEDK 2024 test for engineering programmes will be held online as a computer-based test across India to facilitate the students to appear in the test closer to their homes.
COMEDK UGET 2024 will be conducted for admissions into 150 engineering colleges in Karnataka and the seat selection process will be based on a single common entrance test followed by centralised counselling.

B Tech Admission 2024: The COVID-19 pandemic prompted an alteration to the COMEDK schedule.Nevertheless, the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA), representing over 150 engineering colleges, has mandated that the exam must be conducted on the second Sunday of May. The engineering entrance examination will be a computer-based test and will be held on All India basis across the country to facilitate the students to appear in the test closer to their homes and is aimed at minimising the cost of travel and other logistics.

Exam Pattern: The computer-based exam will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours. The COMEDK question paper will consist of three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each section will have 60 questions.
Each question will carry one mark each and there will be no negative marking. The Consortium will also conduct the COMEDK mock test on the website before the exam date to familiarise candidates with the examination pattern.

About COMEDK UGET: The COMEDK UGET exam is a state-level entrance exam that is held once a year in the month of May. The exam is open to students from all over India who have passed their Class 12th exam with at least 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. After the exam, COMEDK releases a rank list based on the scores of the candidates. The rank list is used for counselling and seat allotment. Candidates are allotted seats in colleges based on their rank and the choices they have filled in the counselling form.
