Hello aspirants, hope you all are doing good and high on energy and motivation. In the last blog I discussed with you the process of day 1 of SSB, a journey towards the most exciting life. Before discussing the day further in details let me make you dive in your thoughts and face your fear which is the key of improvement you will finding and will lead to internal motivation for you.
Nobody of us have thought of not clearing it in one go, it was our first thought before even knowing the process that we will not land in NDA/ IMA/OTA. Now think of knowing each and everything about the process and still not making it. Did that fear you?
Well, do not think much now as I am here dwelling the process for you and making the way not easy but making the process understood and making you prepared enough to be ready for this process of the most beautiful journey of your life. In the last blog I made you aware of the process of day 1 of SSB . what to do and what not, how to approach and how to perform. So you know the basic things regarding SSB day 1 process. Let us jump to the next process of the day 1 verbal part of the screening. Before this, go back to your past and think of some moment where you got appreciation as a school/college/university student. You got appreciated because you were having zeal to perform. You gave your best and you were proudly filled with energy, yes the energy that you felt right now in your veins , got chills? Well this is what is needed to be done feel this chill but as zeal to perform and win cause you are the future of the forces. Keep this josh on.
The very first thing is to understand the process that we already posted in the last blog. Let’s move further now.
THINGS WE HAVE UNDER OUR CONTROL.
There are 4 activities that we can say that we have full control on them, first is the OIR, verbal and non verbal reasoning , that can be practiced. Approach is nothing but consistent practice of it daily like a tea break. It will increase your accuracy rate contributing for the positive results of yours. Giving one hour daily for OIR practice is more than enough.
The second activity is PPDT, we already how to write but what to write is a question of concern. Let us look back again we are full of experience and stories, this is the stage we are looking for our past and picking the best action possible cause here it is going to be discussed. Example: looking at a picture of huge crowd we can say that it is a party as we have huge crowd in celebrations we can write about it. Then again what is the action required to be done and how is it showing our qualities? We know that celebrations need proper planning and management of man and resources. Actions here are required to how to manage the resources carefully. Automatically there are number of qualities coming out like liveliness, management, skillfulness, responsible and so on. So the answer is that it is better if we write stories in the form of our past experiences, it will be making it easy to write full of action and qualities automatically as we already know what to be done and in what manner. So here you now know that it is not needed to have heroic ideas like superman cause they need army officers to work in armed forces and not superheroes to work in MARVELS, fact is that that SSB will reject MARVELS if they appear so be human and a normal one.
The third in the line is narration which again is totally in your hands the thing or skill required is your conveying skills and approaching to others if they are interested or not what they want to listen. Here this 1 min is all yours and no one can take this one minute from you as ShahRukh khan once said in Chakk de India, SSB is saying, “ 1 MINUTE, 1 MINUTE HAI APKE PAAS, SHAYED YE APKI ZINDAGI KA SAB SE KHAS 1 MINUTE HO (SPECIALLY FOR THOSE ATTEMPTING IT FOR LAST TIME) AAJ TUM ACHHA BOLO KHARAB BOLO YE 1 MINUTE TUMHE ZINDAGI BHAR YAAD RAHEGA. TO KAISE BOLNA HAI AAJ TUMHE KOI NAHI BATAYEGA, BAS ITNA KARO KI JAO AUR YE 1 MIUTE JE BHAR KE BOLNA. KYUKI ISKE BAAD AANE WALI ZINDAGI CHAAHE KUCH ACHA HO YA NA HO, SELECTION HO YA NA HO, RECOMMEND HO YA CONFERENCE OUT YA SCREEN OUT. LEKIN YE 1 MINUTE TUMSE KOI NAHI CHEEN SAKTA, KYUKI SSB JANTA HAI kI AGAR YE 1 MINUTE IS GROUP KA HAR CANDIDATE SABSE BADHIYA UTILISE KARE, TO USKA SCREEN IN KHUDA BHI NAHI ROK SAKTA.”
You have to do the same. Utilize this one minute to the fullest. Mark your presence with the ultimate skills you have of conversation. Remember the time when you impressed him/her and when you had do and die situation, pull your inner hero and break the wall.
The last in the list and the most fun activity is discussion test, where most of the candidates are searching to show their inner SHAKTI of speaking in the crowd. Here do not be the reason of chaos but be the one who resolves. Approach should be solution oriented, don’t be selfish but focus on performance with respect to the name of this testing it is discussion so discuss and participate do not sit and just look. As you act in a friend circle you give points when you are sitting and then only you get conclusion. Same is the process here you have to make your group perform and you should actively contribute in the discussion. This is the testing of your social skills weather you are person of out-casting yourself or getting in the situation giving everyone the door to move to conclusion. Make it easy for them and simultaneously to you too.
All the above activities are full of fun but candidates are more focused on the selection and tensed with the performance rather they must be concentrated to their performance and not results as results are not in our hands but our performance is there and hence we can increase our chances by focusing on the process and our performance with the joy as because “MUSKYRAIYE AAP SSB ME HAIN”.
