Vijay, a well-known Tamil Film actor, is the son of S. A. Chandrasekar, a well-known Tamil film director, producer, and writer. Vijay was born on June 22, 1974, in Tamil Nadu’s Madras (today known as Chennai), and he will be 48 years old in June 2022. Vijay’s father has directed almost 70 movies. 

Vijay was born into a Hindu household, and his father was born into a Tamil Christian family. Shoba Chandrasekhar, Vijay’s mother, is a Carnatic vocalist, producer, director, and playback singer.

After appearing as a child actor in the film Vetri, he went on to appear as a child actor in a number of other films, including Kudumbam, which was released in 1984; Naan Sigappu Manithan, which was released in 1985; Vasantha Raagam, which was released in 1986; Sattam Oru Vilayaattu, which was released in 1987; and Ithu Engal Neethi, which was released in 1988. Vijay performed as a kid actor in over 5 films before becoming a major actor.

His second film, Naalaiya Theerpu, was released in 1993. Sendhoorapandi was the title of this film, and Vijayakanth also appeared in it. Vijayakanth is one of Tamil cinema’s most well-known actors. In comparison to his prior movies, this one performed well at the box office. 

Following this, Vijay’s next film Rasigan was released in 1994, and while it was a box office success, reviewers did not enjoy it. Nonetheless, he became quite famous among the youth as a result of this picture, and people began to like him. Because of this film, Vijay earned the epithet Ilaya Thalapathy, which translates to “young commander” in English.
