Scholarship Summary:
The Queen’s University merit-based Excellence Award is exclusive to International Students who commenced a full-time and full duration undergraduate programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Eligibility criteria for this scholarship include;
i. International Students who commenced a full-time and full duration undergraduate programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus.
ii. For September 2024 - eligible students must achieve a 60% GPA in the academic year 2024
iii. Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount. Students paying NI or GB fees are not eligible for the Queen’s Excellence Award.
iv. Students must be self-funded.
v. The following programmes are excluded from eligibility for the Queen’s Excellence Award:
- Undergraduate: Medicine, Dentistry, Agricultural Technology, Theology, LLB Senior Status
- ALL Distance Learning programmes, foundation degree programmes and non-standard fee courses, including part-time programmes.
Value of Scholarship:
Eligible students who achieve a 60% GPA in the academic year 2024 will be awarded a merit-based award of £3000 in the subsequent academic year (unless on placement, whereby the award will be made the following year).
Students who maintain a minimum GPA of 60% may receive this award in consecutive years. The award is deducted from gross tuition fees upon enrolment in the subsequent academic year to which the Excellence Award was achieved. No cash alternative is available.
