Tokyo Olympic medalist Rupinder Pal Singh announces retirement from hockey:

The Olympic bronze medal-winning Indian Hockey player, Rupinder Pal Singh has announced his retirement from international hockey to make way for young and talented players.

Representing India in the Indian Hockey Team:

Rupinder Pal Singh (born 11 November 1990) is a professional field hockey player, who currently represents India in the Indian Hockey Team. He plays as a fullback and is known for his abilities as one of the best drag flickers in the world.

Announce Retirement:

Singh's international debut was in May 2010 in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh. His side went on to win the 2010 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup and grab Gold medal. The 30-year-old Rupinder represented the Indian hockey team in 223 matches in his 13 years hockey career. 

Won the bronze medal in the 2020 Summer Tokyo Olympics:

Rupinder was part of the Indian hockey team that won the bronze medal in the 2020 Summer Tokyo Olympics, held in July – August 2021.
