It’s never too late to gain knowledge in life and excel in a professional career. Distance education has been a solution for those students and working professionals who face hindrance in their life while opting regular courses in the hope of gaining knowledge due to numerous reasons. This mode of education has been appreciated because the mode of teaching is very flexible for both students as well as for teachers. Along with that, it’s affordable, and the quality of education and syllabus is very much similar to that of regular courses.

Distance mode of learning is growing vigorously day by day and is also attracting new people who want to pursue their dreams by completing their higher studies. Students opting Distance learning have a huge scope in their future.

This mode of education has always come into mind when professionals have thought of getting promotions or students thought of improving their resume. Regular courses no wonder have a better angle if we compare, but even Distance Education has numerous advantages over regular courses.

Students willing to pursue or pursing this mode of education always have a fear in their mind if they are going in the right direction as it can hamper their careers. Having concern regarding their future is absolutely obvious.

It’s high time that we clear all our doubts and ignore myths regarding distance mode of learning.

Let’s compare career opportunities for a student after regular education and distance education as per different perspectives:

1. Comparing Distance and Regular Courses based on Salary

Taking into account the job perspective, people always consider the certificate they hold has well paid off if the salary received is good as compared to the money invested during studying. For example, if someone spends 15, 00, 000 INR while studying and earn 20, 000 INR salary then that degree is never considered fruitful but a person paying 50, 000 INR in his/her education if gets a job of around 15, 000 INR then that will be considered as a good return. So, keeping in mind the above fact if we compare the jobs provided by good institutes across the nation and placements offered by distance or part-time courses, then regular courses offer a better package than part-timers.

But if we consider the course fees, then distance education has always been better. After considering both the facts, we can say regular courses do offer better package opportunities, but distance education is no far behind.

2. Degree for the Fresher vs Degree for Professionals

Generally, a professional opts for distance education in order to get a promotion or better incentive. To achieve it, he/ she need not even have to give up their job for the very purpose. Distance education has been very much flexible regarding its time and mode of teaching, so professionals get a better catch from this mode of learning.

But if we consider a fresher, then distance education may sometimes not help the candidate get a good job in a good company at the very first chance.

3. Distance Education in Achieving Skills

If a candidate already has a regular course degree but want to improve some of his/ her skills regarding a particular sector, then he/ she would generally prefer a distance course. Distance course has been helping applicants to improvise the resume of the candidates who are already eligible for the required job but in order to stand out as compared to other candidates part-time courses has always been affordable and better.
