Sixty three students of Greenwood High from Gr 5 to Gr 12 accompanied by 4 Teachers and 2 Tour Managers travelled to Singapore in October 2022 for a 4-night Educational Trip. We put up at the Park Royal Hotel. The tour operators had planned out a fun filled, interesting itinerary covering all the main tourist attractions of the Lion city.

We were accompanied by 2 local guides Mr Dennis Sin and Ms. Manjit Kaur. Both were very experienced and knowledgeable and shared with us the many details of every place we visited. Our sightseeing experience was organised and executed smoothly because of them.

On the first day we went on a River Cruise which was a great way to explore the Marina Bay and witness the stunning attractions along the shoreline. Riding on a bumboat listening to live commentary sharing stories about the culture and places of Singapore made the experience enjoyable. We also visited the Chinese Buddhist Temple and the Art & Science Museum. In the evening we went for the night Safari to the world’s first nocturnal zoo located in Mandai, Singapore. One of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.

The 2nd day we were at the Universal Studio the entire day. It was a fun filled, exciting day for all of us. The kids explored all the 7 zones savouring each and every moment.

The next day we visited the Sentosa Island. We enjoyed the cable ride which offered us the panoramic view of the city. We then took the monorail to MADAME TUSSAUDS – WAX MUSUEM where we posed and took pictures with our favourite artists. We then saw the spectacular Song of the Sea’ Laser Show.

Hungry for more- we went to the Jurong Bird Park and were thrilled to witness the beautiful species of birds. In the evening we went to the Gardens by the Bay and enjoyed the ‘Light & sound ‘ Show. 

The next day we were free to go shopping for a bit and then after checking out we had our lunch and headed back to the Changi Airport to board our flight back home with our hearts full of precious and unforgettable memories.
