What is Sitaram Jindal Foundation

Sitaram Jindal Scholarship is a merit cum means scholarship provided by Sitaram Jindal Foundation, a charitable trust organization based in Bangalore. The main objective of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to deserving and underprivileged students from senior secondary school level to postgraduate level. Sitaram Jindal Scholarship range is INR 500-2,500 (Per Month) based on the level of education and choice of course.

Sitaram Jindal Scholarship

Unlike other national and international scholarships, Sitaram Jindal Scholarship does not have a limited time to register. Candidates can register themselves and fill the application form as per their convenience throughout the year. There is no time limit for this scholarship.

Categories in Jindal Scholarship

From Diploma in Nursing and Bachelor of Pharmacy to M.Com and Naturopathy courses, the scholarships offered by Jindal Foundation cover a wide range of programs. Based on the course/level of education, Sitaram Jindal Scholarship is divided into 5 categories from Category A to Category E.

Personality Development Tips in Hindi

Qualification

To understand who is eligible to get Sitaram Jindal Scholarship, we have provided below a category wise eligibility criteria:-

Category A

  • You must be in 11th/12th class. For male students, at least 65% marks. Uneqvicolly, it is necessary for girls to have 60% marks.
  • Boys and girl students coming from Karnataka and West Bengal must have 75% and 70% marks respectively.

Category B

  • ITI classes should be completed from any government or private institute.
  • Boys require 50% marks, while girl candidates have to score at least 40% marks.

Category C

  • For UG courses, girl candidates should have 55% and boys should have 60% in their 10+2.
  • For PG programs you must have a bachelor’s degree.
  • Girl candidates need to secure 60% marks while boys must obtain 65% marks to get Jindal scholarship for PG courses.
  • For employed, the annual family income should not exceed INR 4 Lakh and for other applicants, it should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh with age below 30 years.

Category D

  • Diploma in all streams including Physiotherapy and Environment are considered under this category.
  • Female candidates must have secured 55% marks while male candidates must have 60% marks to apply for Jindal Scholarship.
  • For employed, the annual family income should not exceed INR 4 Lakh and for other applicants, it should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh with age below 30 years.

Category E

  • Engineering Branches, Medicine and Architecture are the courses for which Jindal Scholarship is awarded under this category.
  • Some of the courses included are MBBS, MPharm, Naturopathy, Dental Science, etc. However, MDS is not covered.
  • Female candidates need to score 65% marks while male applicants need to get 70% marks.

Note: The pass percentage for Karnataka and West Bengal candidates differs for UG and PG courses. It is advised to check the official website before proceeding with the application.
