Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test is a state level examination. Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test or JKCET is conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination to admit candidates who are pursuing various specializations in Jammu and Kashmir. Qualification

Candidates appearing for JKCET must fulfill the eligibility criteria to be considered eligible for admission. The eligibility for JKCET is as follows-

educational

  • The student must have completed 12th class from any recognized board.
  • Students have to complete class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Maths streams.
  • Must have more than 50% marks in 12th.

resident

  • The student must be a permanent resident of Jammu and Kashmir to appear in this test.

age limit

  • Applicants must be at least 17 years of age to apply.

HOW TO APPLY?

Given below is a detailed procedure that candidates must follow to apply for JKCET exam-

  • Students have to log on to the official website.
  • Must apply online. They need to fill in the required information to get a special ID and password to proceed with the application process.
  • After completion of registration, students will have to fill the application form and make payment through online/offline mode.
  • Students have to fill the application form correctly and upload the required scanned document images.

Application Fee

You have to deposit the application fee for Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test in online mode. The application fee for all categories of students is INR 1,200.

admit card

The candidates who appeared for the examination in the year 2022 will be able to download the JKCET admit card from the website in July 2022. The merit list is declared on 9th September 2022 through online mode. Qualified candidates will be called for counseling which will be conducted from September 2022. Candidates must keep the admit card safe with them till their admission in the institute.

JKCET is conducted in J&K only in two cities, namely-

  • Jammu

Guidelines for exam day

Candidates must read and follow the instructions printed on the JKCET admit card. Students are requested to carry some necessary documents on the day of examination, which are mentioned below-

  • admit card
  • passport size photo
  • photo id proof

Result and cut off

All the candidates who are going to participate in the test have to obtain qualifying marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The marks of the candidates should be equal to the minimum cut off marks to get admission. ST/SC and OBC category candidates will get 40% marks instead of 50%. TFW or P&B category candidates will be considered as open merit list candidates. Open merit list students must have a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English separately and minimum 50% marks.

After the declaration of the test results, a merit list containing the names of the shortlisted candidates is prepared. After that shortlisted candidates are called for counseling round. In the counseling round, students have to list their preferences. Students are called for the counseling round on the following basis-
