CIET-NCERT is organizing an Online Training on the Internet of Things (IoT) and Mobile Security from September 4 to September 8, 2023, from 4 PM to 5 PM.

About the Training

Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the network of interconnected devices and objects that communicate and exchange data. However, with this interconnectedness, comes the challenge of ensuring the security and privacy of the data being transmitted and the devices involved including mobile devices. In this scenario, a robust system of cyber safety and security in schools is required to safeguard sensitive student and staff information against potential breaches and to maintain a safe digital learning environment.

In this context, the Central Institute of Educational Technology, National Council for Educational Research and Training (CIET-NCERT) is organizing a 5 hours online training series on “Internet of Things (IoT) and Mobile Security” from September 4-8, 2023, 4-5 PM to leverage the understanding of teachers, students, administrators and other stakeholders of school education on the need and importance of ensuring safety and security of Digital Data and Learning Environment.

Objectives

After completion of the training, the learner will be able to:

• Understand the Fundamentals of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Mobile Security.
• Identify Vulnerabilities and Risks.
• Robust security measures for IoT devices and mobile applications, including encryption, authentication, and access controls.
• Enhance Incident Response and Recovery.
• Promote a Culture of Security Awareness.

How to Participate?

Step 1: Interested individuals can register through this link.

Step 2: Participants have to attend training sessions, which will be live-streamed on NCERT Official YouTube channel from September 4 – September 8, 2023, at 4:00-5:00 pm (Monday to Friday). The session will also be telecasted live on the following:

• PM eVIDYA channels #6-12.
• DD Free Dish Channel.
• DISH TV channel #2027-2033.
• Jio TV mobile app.

Step 3: Participate in the post-session quiz, and score 70% & above to get a certificate.

• Post-Session Quiz Link: The quiz link will be updated at 5 p.m. on September 8, 2023.
• Opening Date: September 8, 2023, by 6:00 p.m.
• Closing Date: September 29, 2023, by 6:00 p.m.

Participants are allowed to attempt the quiz only once and those scoring 70% and above in the quiz will receive a certificate of participation in their registered mail ID or they can download the certificate from the same page.
