About CodeChef ADGITM

CodeChef ADGITM chapter is a close-knit community of diligent coders who come together and share best practices, new coding accomplishments and plenty of resources to become the best problem solvers. We aim to establish and nurture young coding enthusiasts. Not only this but it also helps those who
are novices in the world of computer programming. Different events which not only include coding contests and hackathons, aim to establish a strong coding culture amongst the student community. Providing a great network and a nurturing mentorship have always been our thriving forces.

About Live the Code 2.0

Live the Code is a 36-hour-long hybrid hackathon being organised by CodeChef-ADGITM throughout the world as a Global Event. Through this hackathon, we aim to inspire young minds to build unique problem-solving toolboxes for the proposed ideas or even open-ended real-life problems.

Event Timeline

• Registration: 31 July (12 pm) — 20 August (11:59 pm)
• Orientation (Youtube): 20 August (6 pm)
• PPT submission deadline: 28 August (10 am)
• Round 1 – Pitches To Mentors (Google Meet): 28 August (12 pm) — 29 August (12 pm)
• Round 1 Result: 31 August (12 pm)
• Round 2 – Project Submissions: 1 Sept (11 am) — 2 Sept (11 pm) (36 hr hackathon)
• Final Pitch To Judges: 3 Sept (12 pm ) — 3 Sept (6 pm)
• Final Result: 5 Sept

Participation Rules

• Team size: 1-4 members
• Individual participation is allowed.
• Any participant can be part of only 1 team.
• Teams can choose any of the listed themes and build the working prototype at the end of the coding phase.
• No development may start before the actual date and time of the event.
• Any teams that violate this rule will be automatically disqualified.
• Objection to the codes will be processed accordingly by the designated mentor.
• Breach of the code of conduct by one will result in the Disqualification of the Whole team.
