SBI Clerk 2023 Paper Pattern

Let’s now look at the exam pattern of the SBI Clerk paper.

  1. The SBI Clerk exam occurs in two phases: preliminary and mains exam. 
  2. The prelims exam has three sections:  English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100.
  3. The mains consist of four sections: General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude and carry a total of 200 marks.

SBI Clerk 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for candidates who wish to apply for the SBI Clerk Exam as prescribed by the conducting authority are mentioned below :

  • Candidates must hold a graduation bachelor’s degree for appearing for the SBI Clerk exam.
  • Candidates with Integrated Dual Degrees are also considered eligible for applying.
  • Candidates in the final year of college can also apply.
  • Candidates applying must be 20 years minimum and 28 maximum as of 1st April 2021.
  • However, there is age relaxation for reserved categories. Relaxation in Upper Age Limit : 
    • OBC  : 3
    • PWD (GEN): 10
    • SC/ST: 5
    • PWD (OBC): 13
    • PWD (SC/ST): 15

SBI Clerk 2023 Application Process

We have described below the detailed procedure that students are required to follow for applying for SBI Clerk:

  • Registration: Aspirants must log on to the official website and Apply Online. Fill in the required details to get a unique id and password to go further with the application process.
  • Submit Application Form:  After successful registration, aspirants must fill the application form with accurate and necessary information the form asks for. The application form is divided into three sections – Personal Details, Qualification Details and Work Experience.
  • Application Fees: The final step would be the payment of application fees to successfully complete the form and take a printout of the form along with the e-receipt.

The application fees for SBI Clerk can be paid in online mode – credit card/debit card and net banking. The application fees for each category have been given here –

  1. General – INR 750
  2. SC/ST/Others – NIL

Documents Needed For the Application Form

Before registering for the exam, all applicants must ensure that they have the following documentation and details available. Candidates shall have the following records on them:

  • Scanned most recent photographs (sizes ranging from 10 kb to 200 kb) in JPG/ JPEG format only.
  • Scanned signature (size 4 kb to 30 kb) only in JPG/JPEG format
  • Aadhaar number, Election card, Passport number/ Ration card number/ PAN number, or some other identification evidence from the government
  • Mobile phone number and email address
  • Bank details for fee payment
  • Mark sheets for details

The number of vacancies is yet to be announced along with the notification. SBI Clerk vacancies are released separately for different states. For 2022, more than 5000 vacancies have been announced.

Exam Day Guidelines – SBI Clerk

Students must follow the exam day guidelines as given in the admit card or specified at the time of applying. 

  • Aspirants should carry their admit card and it should not be in a digital or scanned format.
  • Aspirants must reach the exam centre an hour before the exam to avoid any delay.
  • Aspirants are not allowed to carry any electronic devices to the exam venue.
  • Aspirants must carry a photo identity proof along with the admit card which could be any of these – Aadhar Card, Passport, Pan Card, Voter ID Card, Driver’s License

How To Check The Result

Here is the process to check the result:

  • Candidates will be able to see their results by logging in with their login information, including their registration number, birth date, and protection pin. 
  • Candidates must go to the careers page of SBI and from the ‘Join SBI’ tab, go to the ‘Current Opening’ Section. 
  • Then click on the advertisement link ‘Recruitment of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales)’. 
  • After reviewing the result, candidates can download and print their results.
