ABU Admission Requirements For 2022/2023

Ahmadu Bello University admission requirements for JAMB:

1. For a start, you need to have at least 5 credit passes in your O’level result (WAEC NECO, or NABTEB) including English and Mathematics not more than two (2) sittings before you can study in ABU.
2. You must have chosen the correct JAMB subject combination for your course.
3. Candidates must score at least 180 in the just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to be offered admission into Ahmadu Bello University.
4. ABU must be your first choice of Institution.
5. You must participate in the ABU post UTME screening exercise to be considered for admission.
6. Any candidate who fails to take part in the screening exercise automatically loses his or her chance of being considered for admission.
7. You must have reached the age of 16 by October this year.

ABU Admission Requirements For Direct Entry 2022/2023

Ahmadu Bello University admission requirements for Direct Entry (DE) candidates:

1. For a start, you need to have at least 5 credit passes in your O’level result (WAEC NECO, or NABTEB) including English and Mathematics not more than two (2) sittings before you can study in ABU.
2. Direct entry candidates are required to purchase the ABU Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) And ABU Portal.
3. You must have chosen the correct JAMB subject combination for your course.
4. ABU must be your first choice of Institution.
5. You must participate in the ABU online post UTME screening exercise.
6. You must have reached the age of 16 by October this year.
7. ABU accept (First Class Degree, Second Class, and Upper credit) but in related fields.
8. ABU also accept a minimum of Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND) and other Advanced Level Certificates depending on the course.
9. In some cases, ABU accepts JUPEB and IJMB A’level results but you must have a good result before applying.
