In todays day and age every software company uses SDLC so if a project doesn’t implement SDLC then the probability of the project failing are much higher. In simple terms SDLC describes the process of the project from initial stages to execution.

What is SDLC – Software Development Lifecycle

The Software Development lifecycle also referred to as the SDLC, is a process that companies follow in order to design, implement, and manage software systems. When it comes to producing and maintaining software, developers have a guide in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to follow. It is possible for businesses to guarantee the success of their software development projects by adhering to the software development life cycle (SDLC).

The design phase is broken up into several different sub-phases, the most important of which are the requirements definition, the functional specification, and the interface design.

Following the phase of designing the programme, the step of putting it into action comes next.

During this stage, the software is being developed and its code is being written. The process of writing the code that will allow the software to operate in accordance with the design is included in this step.

Testing comes after putting the software into action in the first part of the process. At this point of the process, the programme is put through its paces by way of a battery of tests to confirm that it is performing as expected. This procedure assists in determining whether the software contains any flaws or problems.

The following step, which is deployment, occurs after the programme has been tested to ensure that it is functioning appropriately. Installing the software and making it accessible to end users is what happens during this step.

Maintenance is the last step in the software development life cycle (SDLC). During this stage, the software is being maintained and under constant surveillance. This procedure contributes to ensuring that the software continues to function as intended and fulfils the requirements of the end users.
