We went through some of the worst music you've ever heard to create this list, but a few criteria soon became apparent: It had to make the charts somehow (so congratulations CeeLo Green's "Robin Williams" as you avoid this list for full), and, ideally, it wasn't a one-hit-only situation (thus ensuring that Shop Boyz's 2007 ear-scraper "Party Like a Rock Star" got the cut). This list didn't have to be year by year, so some years might be more flawed than others (apologies for 2017). It was a strict narrowing process (BTS's painfully cloying "Permission to Dance" barely made the cut), but decisions were made:
