The hand has 19 Bones( hand skeleton), 5 elongated Metacarpal bones, which are next to the wrist and make up the palm, 14 phalanges which make up the finger.
Each finger has 3 phalanges and the thumb has two. These 19 bones collectively form 14 separate joints.
The knuckle joints metacarpophalangeal joints Joins the finger to the palm.
The interphalangeal joints are the finger joints. There are synovial joints between the metacarpal and phalanges – these bones are covered with articular cartilage.
The wrist links the hand to the arm. The wrist is a complex system of 8 small bones known as carpal bones are arranged in two interrelated rows. One row connected with the end of bones with the forearm radius and ulna.
If you hold ur hand in a thumbs-up position the Bone on the top of the forearm is the radius , the one on the bottom is ulna.
There are synovial joints between the carpal bones and wrist.
