Our ESL Teacher Melissa Coetzee has put together a list of her favorite restaurants in Shenzhen. Take a look at some of the delicious restaurants that Shenzhen has to offer. Thanks for the info Melissa!

Best Restaurants in Shenzhen

Because of so many foreigners residing in Shenzhen, in recent years, there has been a huge amount of western restaurants opening their doors. This means you can find cuisines from all over the world. Additionally, there are other Asian restaurants and Western-style restaurants in the city.

Here is my selection of a few restaurants that I would highly recommend.

“There is no love sincerer than the love of food.”- George Bernard Shaw

Chinese Restaurants

The most common Chinese restaurants are the local Cantonese restaurants. Tourists especially like the dim sum and noodle dishes. You’ll find restaurants from every region of China.

  1. Jin Yue Xuan in Futian District – Cantonese Dim Sum

Western Restaurants

As one of China’s richest cities with Westerners living and working here there are many good Western restaurants to choose from in many styles.

3. Pizzeria Alla-Torre

All the dishes in Alla Torre are designed by Italian noted chefs. Alla Torre tries to follow closely the trends in Italy and changes the menu regularly to provide the most up-to-date choices. This is one of my personal favorite restaurants and love everything on the menu.
