As part of the company’s mission to always promote cohesion between SDE employees, the company sponsored a day trip to Dapeng for the company team building. The weather was so perfect for a Boat ride with Seven Star Yacht Club! Crystal clear water, fresh air and greenery mountains!

Everyone was on board on three different yachts with every crew member ensuring everyone’s safety. Here are some of the beautifully captured photos during the day trip to Dapeng:

We arrived at 3.00pm at the Dapeng International Yacht Club. Just before we got there by coach it started to rain and we thought our boat trip would be dampened because of the rain. Suddenly the sun came out as we got off the bus.

We walked down the harbour-side and onto the boat docking area. As we approached we were in awe of the million dollar yachts that we seen. You easily picture them in a James Bond movie.

We were split into 3 teams to go onto three small sized yachts and we sailed around the harbour for one hour. This was fun, not only because it was relaxing, but also because we were holding onto the boat for dear life when the boat tilted on it’s side. Don’t worry everyone was safe! Blessed with amazing panoramic views of Dapeng and the beautiful beach – we felt very lucky to be there.

Next stop the hotel – we arrived at the hotel at around 6.30pm – and got ready for our evening meal – which was a BBQ. It was satisfying to say the least – cooking our own food and eating it. But the best food was to come a fully roasted Goat (Yang Rou). It was so yummy. This partnered with Baijiu and Budweiser made for an excellent evening. It was a typical Chinese event with everyone making speeches and downing the national drink Baijiu.

Then onto Karaoke – at about 9pm a handful of people went to the on-site Karaoke room. Where everyone took it in turns to sing. Sherry Li is an amazing singer and took the opportunity to sing ‘You raise me up’ by Westlife – she blew the onlookers away with her vocal talent. Bill Li also took the opportunity to sing an age old Chinese traditional song which was great again – even the younger members of the team sang their hearts out. Over and over again. And whilst this was taking paces some of the team were playing the traditional Maijong.

The next morning we headed down the Dadong beach. It was a beautiful beach located a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It presented an opportunity for staff to take some nice photos. On the beach they were shooting a movie which was interesting to see. A beautiful woman riding a horse in the sea – had I died and gone to heaven.

Finally we made our way to Dameisha where we had a chance to shop at some world famous out lets; Nike, Fila, Addidas and much more. After an hour of shopping we went for our last group meal where we ate seafood and was merry (add more here)

We would like to thank the management for giving us a great team building activity. (write more here).
