'Palm Jumeirah'-Dubai's iconic man-made island

'Palm Jumeirah'-Dubai's iconic man-made island
Dubai is famous for its skyscraper skyline and one of the world's foremost engineering masterpieces. Built from reclaimed land in a series of artificial islands, the Palm Jumeirah is shaped like a palm tree when viewed from above. In the early 21st century the Palm Jumeirah was built.

Palm Jumeirah was developed by Nakheel, a real estate company now owned by the Dubai government. The master plan was created by Hellman Harley Charvat Peacock, an American architectural firm. The islands were mostly made of sand dredged from the Persian Gulf floor, but the crescent side that is in contact with the open sea was made with rocks and boulders from the mainland.Work began in 2001, and by 2004 the land and infrastructure had been completed. Construction of the buildings began in 2006, and the first occupants arrived in 2007.

Palm Jumeirah infrastructure:

 1. The main sectors of Palm Jumeirah: Trunk, Spine, Friends and Crescent are the names by which the main sectors of Palm Jumeirah are known. The wide trunk connected to the mainland by a bridge serves as a gateway to development.Another bridge connects the trunk to the mainland, a narrow central axis from which 17 fronts emerge. The crescent is a breakwater that surrounds almost all other sectors. It is divided into three sections to facilitate the flow of sea water.A vehicle tunnel connects the spine to the crescent and a transit monorail travels about 3 miles (4.8 km) from the mainland through the spine and trunk to the crescent. The structure of the crescent is 660 feet (200 m) wide and 10.7 miles (17 km) long.At least 1,380 acres (560 hectares) of new land was created, within a diameter of about 3.1 miles (5 km).

2.Luxury of the island:

Unique Island has Dubai's top luxury resorts, including Atlantis, The Palm, Five Palm Jumeirah Hotel, Jumeirah Jabel Saray, One and Only the Palm and more. There are fantastic dining options like 101 Dining Lounge and more than 90 restaurants, lounges and other attractions, located along a picturesque promenade at the top of The Palm.

3.Sophisticated facilities:

Many buildings, state-of-the-art facilities and a few hotels are located in the trunk. In the second decade of the 21st century, at least 10,000 people lived in Palm Jumeirah; Some guesses were too much.

4.Fascinating environment:

For a relaxing evening, marvel at The Palm Fountain, the world's largest dance fountain, or check out Club Vista - a series of restaurants built on a pier extending over the water.Options include a comfortable signature meal at Bridge Beach Grill and fresh seafood with an Arabic twist at Ibn al-Bahr. All restaurants offer views of the Arabian Gulf, Dubai Skyline and the Royal Burj Al Arab.
