GATE 2020: Application Form, Exam Date, Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria

GATE 2020 Exam Dates has been released. The Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi will organize GATE 2020. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an auspicious examination that every aspirant, who wants to do Post-Graduation in Engineering. GATE 2020 Application Procedure

Application Form Registration starts from 03 September 2019.

  1. Firstly, the Registration will be done through online mode only.
  2. Also, the candidates can fill Online Application Form through Official Website.
  3. Then, register on the official website.
  4. Further, upload a recent passport size photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, graduation certificate (if applicable), and category certificate (if applicable).
  5. Also, international candidates have to possess a valid passport to apply. The rest of the application procedure is the same as for Indians.

GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS)

This process will enable the students for the following activities:

  • Firstly, fill the form.
  • Secondly, upload the necessary documents.
  • Now, pay the Application fees.
  • Also, check the Application Form Status.
  • Download the Admit Card.
  • Finally, download ScoreCard & Answer Sheets.
  • Visit the website http://appsgate.iitm.ac.in or access through http://gate.iitm.ac.in
  • GOAPS Enrollment ID will be given to each candidate registering for GATE 2020.
  • GOAPS Password: Candidates must remember the GOAPS Password for future logins.

  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Negative Marking: For 1-mark & 2-mark MCQ, 1/3 & 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer respectively.

  • The Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi will release the GATE 2020 Admit card on First week of January 2020.
  • Candidates will be able to download the Hall ticket from the Official website.
  • GATE 2020 Hall Ticket will not be sent by E-mail or Post.
  • Candidates can get the Hall ticket by entering their login details.
  • Candidates, those enrollment IDs have been displayed on the website as a provisional, will have to carry the required documents & submit them to the exam centre to the Authorities.

How to download GOAPS Admit card?

  • Visit the Official Website of GOAPS.
  • The GOAPS login window page will be opened on the computer screen.

  • Download the Admit card and keep it safe.

GATE Answer key

  • The subject wise Answer key for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2020 will be released tentatively in the month of February 2020 on the Official Website of GOAPS.
  • The Answer key helps Applicants to estimate their total scoring marks.

GATE 2020 Result

  • The GATE Result will be declared on Third week of March 2020.
  • Candidates can download it from the GOAPS website.
  • The result will be declared only through online mode.
  • It can be downloaded by entering the Enrollment number/Registration number & Date of birth.
  • No result/rank will be sent through offline mode or any other mode.

How to Check the Result?

Candidates must follow the given steps below to check their results:

  • On the Official Website of GOAPS click on the “Result” link.
  • The result page will be opened on the computer screen.
  • Fill your “Enrollment Id”, “Registration No.” & “Date of Birth”.
