The ability to Livestream Vosaic videos is now available to all Vosaic customers. While we can't wait to learn different use cases for this feature, we know that it will be most useful to our customers who record medical simulations and counseling sessions. In those settings, live video feeds are often watched from separate rooms while being recorded in the simulation or counseling rooms.
Just like with other Vosaic features, our goal was to make this as seamlessly integrated with our other features as possible, and we can't wait to hear what you think about it.
How Video Livestreaming in Vosaic Works
Add a new video like you normally would, by pressing the "Add New Video" button and entering the video details. Once done, press "Save & Continue to Upload."
On the next screen, select "Record & Upload Video."
Once the video player loads, you'll notice a "Set Up Streaming" button. Press that button to select who should have access to the livestream.
NOTE: you can only have up to five (5) people watch a livestream, and those people must be on the same network (WiFi, or wired) as you. If you share a video with someone who is not on the same network, that person won't be able to see the video.
Once you've selected up to three people who can see the livestream, press "Save" at the bottom of the Share with Users modal. As soon as you do that, those users will receive an email letting them know that they'll be able to join a livestream.
In addition, a new button titled "Start Livestream" will appear.
As soon as you press that button, the users you shared the livestream with will see the button "Watch Livestream" for that video.
Pressing that button takes them to the video player to watch the livestream.
