UNH is providing complimentary summer Stem Programs tailored for middle and high school students. Throughout July, Unh Tech Camp will host various weeklong sessions at no cost, delving into topics such as regenerative medicine, bridge design, transportation engineering, and data analytics. These engaging programs will adopt an experiential, project-based learning approach, fostering creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and enjoyment. Both day and residential options are available, and students of all STEM proficiency levels are encouraged to apply. The programs will take place from July 8 to July 26 on the Durham campus, and applications are currently being accepted.

UNH Tech Camp is extending a no-cost opportunity this summer with the Dinah Whipple STEAM Academy, designed for students typically underrepresented in STEM fields. Tailored for grades 7-10, this immersive educational experience delves into science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics (STEAM), and themes related to the Black experience. The academy will be active from July 8-12. These complimentary offerings are part of UNH Tech Camp, a well-established summer program for grades 5-12 hosted at the UNH Durham campus since 2007. The camp features a diverse range of STEM programs, covering everything from video game design and forensic science to rocketry and space exploration. Additionally, need-based scholarships are available for all programs not offered free of charge.

STEM education, encompassing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, has garnered increased significance as it endeavors to furnish students with the capacity to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios. Through STEM education, students cultivate the capability and pragmatic outlook to perceive the world through a lens defined by purpose and empirical evidence.
