The dates for the Jee Main 2023 exam have already been released by the National Testing Agency or NTA. However, many students have begun to flood social media channels like Twitter to voice their opinions owing to what appears to be a conflict with the Board Exams 2023. The unexpected increase in COVID-19 instances in India has also caused worry, in addition to the conflict with the CBSE and ISC Board Exams.

The first session of the JEE Main 2023 exam will be placed on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31, 2023, according to the official schedule released by NTA. Concerns about the conflict with the Class 12 Board Examinations have been raised by numerous pupils.

Although the theory portion of the Class 12 Board Tests in 2023 and JEE Main in 2023 do not coincide in dates, students have stated that they would find it difficult to prepare because they would be in the middle of their practical exams.

The majority of Class 12 board exams are anticipated to start in February 2023. Students worry that they may have to sacrifice their preparations for the JEE Main Exam or the Board Exam, which would result in a subpar outcome.

Apart from Board Exams, students are still lobbying for the JEE Main 2023 exam date to be postponed, especially the first session, so that students who dropped out will have more time to study.

NCPCR Requests Changing Eligibility Criteria

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has also requested that the JEE Main Exam be postponed due to a conflict with the CBSE Practical Exams 2023. Additionally, NCPCR has requested that NTA update the requirements for taking the exam.

Candidates must have obtained a 75 percent grade average in their Class 12 exams in order to sit for the JEE Main exam. The 75 percent standards are unfair to candidates who stopped out for a year, according to the official letter released by NCPCR. Students have complained that the NTA disclosed the dates for JEE Main 2023 one month in advance but four months in advance for JEE Main 2020, the letter said.

AISU Writers Letter to Ministry of Education

The All India Students Union (AISU) requested that the JEE Main 2023 exam dates be changed in a letter to the Ministry of Education written to Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan. In fact, the letter demanded that the eligibility requirement of 75% be eliminated.

The students further claimed that because many of them scored below the 75% eligibility threshold, many were prohibited from taking the JEE Main exam the following year. The criteria must be eliminated, according to the students.

With JEE Main 2023 Session-I taking place in the final week of January 2023, JEE Advanced 2023 would most likely be held in May 2023. However, if NTA grants the applicants’ request and moves Session-I to April 2023, JEE Advanced 2023 might be held in June 2023. Thus, there is just one month’s difference between the NTA’s judgment and the students’ demand, according to the letter.

JEE Mains 2023: Documents Required

Candidates must upload scanned copies of their candidate photo, signature, category certificate (if applicable), and PwD certificate when enrolling for JEE Main 2023, (wherever applicable). The most current photo should be posted in either black and white or color, with the face and ears visible to 80% of the viewer on a white backdrop.

Both the scanned signature and photo must be in JPG/JPEG format. The scanned signature should be between 4 kb and 30 kb in size, and the scanned photo should be between 10 kb and 200 kb in size. The SC, ST, OBC, and EWS category certificates should have a scanned image that is between 50 and 300 kilobytes in size. Before submitting their JEE Main 2023 application, candidates must cross-verify it.

JEE Mains Exam Syllabus for 2023

There will be two papers in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE (Main)). For admission to undergraduate engineering programs (B.E./B. Tech) in participating state governments’ supported institutions, such as NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs, candidates must take Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech).

Admission to BArch and BPlanning is determined by paper 2. Two sessions of the exam will be administered in a computer-based test (CBT) format.

English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Assamese, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu will all be available for JEE Mains 2023.
