The institution aims to be a center of excellence in higher education through top grade academics, quality research, and well articulated support services, while promoting societal and individual development.

Established in 1995, Aurora’s PG College, Ramanthapur is the largest and one of the oldest stand alone MBA, MCA colleges of Telangana. It operates under the aegis of Aurora Group of Institutions, one of the largest educational groups in the State of Telangana. The college is affiliated to Osmania University and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

The college began its journey with two Master’s programs, MBA and MCA, with a Student intake of 60. Under the dynamic leadership of the Secretary, Dr. Ramesh Babu Nimmatoori, the college has escalated to the position of the largest standalone PG College in the state of Telangana with a student intake of 1200. It has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A+’ Grade in 2018, in the first cycle of accreditation for its standards of quality in academics, teaching learning process, extension activities and best practices. The institution is recognized as one among the top 6 colleges in Telangana to have achieved this milestone.

Excellent Education and Infrastructure    

The college offers a wide variety of educational and infrastructural facilities for the overall development of the students. It focuses on five programs offered at PG level, which include MBA, 5 years Integrated MBA, Part-time MBA, PGDM and MCA Programs.

Aurora has a unique niche in its comprehensive teaching learning process. It was developed by the institution by integrating conventional teaching methods, interactive teaching learning methods, experiential learning methods, and supplementary teaching learning process to impart holistic education. This trains the students to learn the concepts with a strong base along with other industry requisite skills like communication, presentation, public speaking, general ability, reasoning and team work which makes them much sought after by the recruiters.

The campus has a cloud connectivity that provides remote access to instructional and information resources to all the stakeholders round the clock. The students actively participate in many digital learning programs organized by the state and central Governments.

The institution is well known among the student community for its round the year student activities that hone the skills of students in various areas. The college celebrates all festivals of religious, social, and national importance like Independence Day and Republic Day, birth and death anniversaries of patriotic and nationally and internationally popular personalities. It also conducts various events including Induction Day– ALAAP; Samaroh– Mini Convocation Day; Vasantha Panchami– Aurora Foundation Day; ANUBHUTI– Annual Day; Aurora Family Day; Guru Pranam– Teachers Day; and many more.

Astute Leadership       

The person leading the college from the front is Dr. Madhavi Madireddy, the Director. She undertook this responsibility in 2013, but her experience in the academic field has lasted for more than 20 years. With a decade of experience in administrative practice, Dr.Madhavi has worked towards introducing innovations in teaching-learning practices and lead the institution towards accreditation with high grade in 2018, under the excellent guidance and support of Sri Raja Babu, the Chairman and Dr. Ramesh Nimmatoori, the Secretary of Aurora Group. Her initiatives have also brought various Memoranda of Understanding with multiple industries as well as collaborations with training, entrepreneurship and development organizations. She is also the author of “Principal’s Handbook for MBA Colleges” and “Students Academic Manual for MBA” which were granted copyrights by the Government of India in 2014 and 2018 respectively. She is a seasoned academician with a number of publications and research articles in many national and international journals of repute and has been the peer reviewer in a couple of journals. Dr. Madhavi has also acquired the credential of becoming the ‘Assessor’ of National Assessment and Accreditation Council since March, 2019.

Student Support Initiatives

Aurora not only provides exceptional educational facilities, but also takes various steps to support financially disadvantaged sections of students. They are provided with scholarships and complete tuition fee waiver for their entire course. The college supports students in applying for government scholarships, trust scholarships, and other financial assistance services provided by various government and non-government agencies. Eligible students are also provided with suitable part-time job opportunities while they study in the institutions and will be inducted on full-time basis once they complete their formal education. The top rankers of every batch of students are awarded with Gold Medals and Merit Certificates.

The college has produced numerous graduates who have made it big in various walks of life. They have made a name for themselves in numerous arenas with their dedicated endeavors. Some of the prominent alumni of the college include Ms. D. Navya of MBA (2015-17), working as a financial executive at Factset; Ms. Kavita Pandit of MCA (2014-17) working as Software Programmer at Wipro Technologies; Mr. A. Rakesh of MBA (2014-16) working as Process Executive at Cognizant; and Mr. Mallikarjun Reddy of MCA (2013-16) working as Process Analyst at IBM.

Aurora has developed many collaborations with many prominent institutions to ensure curricular and co-curricular development of the students. The institution has an academic partnership with Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B). It has joined hands with Harrison Assessment International Limited. This is a training and assessment organization which trains the students in acquiring soft skills and communication and makes them industry ready. The students who clear the assessment are placed with reputed organizations such as Google, Apple Inc, Unilever, and so on.
