Some elements which will help you to create an effective Call-To-Action for your website

Call-To- Action [CTA] has great power. When used to its best advantage, a CTA can initiate and strengthen customer relationships.

CTA delivers concise, actionable direction to an Audience – like “Download Now” Essentially, it’s a vehicle to get a visitor from one piece of content to the next for mutual benefit: they are better informed and marketers have a better opportunity for conversion.

The purpose of a call-to-action (CTA) is, first and foremost, to provide an instruction to website Visitors to contact you immediately. It tells them what they will gain from working with you and motivates them to take action to make that happen. Therefore, a good CTA will invoke the customer to contact you on the spot.

Key components of a successful CTA

  1. Design

Blogs and websites present different design opportunities, but size is the commonality.

  1. Message

CTA button space naturally limits message length, so choose a few clear and compelling words to inform visitors of exactly what they need to do or what to expect.

  1. Placement

Relegating CTAs to the bottom of the page is risky, but there are options beyond anchor text CTAs. For example, providing more than one chance to click the CTA throughout a post or web page encourages clicks. Popups and popovers appearing midway through a blog post attract eyes. Also, multiple CTAs that appear on a website’s home page or other prominent areas give visitors with a wealth of options and confidence in your thought leadership.

  1. Testing

Thinking you have the right design, message and placement is one thing. Knowing it is another. A/B testing compares two versions of a CTA to see which one performs better, based on real-time data and statistics. When you create your CTA you always remember your target audience and what you want from them.
