Running under the aegis of AURORA GROUP, the standalone PG College has established its place by creating globally competitive professionals with exemplary ethics with the ability to adopt the ever changing needs of the industry and institutions.

Inception

The Aurora’s  PG College located in the central part of the city was established in 1995 by Aurora Group, one of the largest Group of Educational Institutions in the State of Telangana.The name Aurora was derived from the Latin word ‘Aurora Borealis’, the famous northern lights meaning the Sun God ‘Apollo’. The name has been chosen as it synthesizes the Indian and western traditions, representing the ‘Sun’ as the symbol of knowledge and power. Aurora endeavors to be worthy of its name by laying emphasis on quality education.

The institution has been approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Osmania University, the world renowned State University of Telangana State. The institution is centrally located with high access to public and private transportation. Aurora’s PG College has earned a distinction among the Student and parent communities owing to its discipline and dedication in imparting quality education in the streams of Management and Computer Sciences.

Infrastructure

The institute has a myriad of facilities provided to the students to make sure that their educational passage is completed without any qualms. The state of the art infrastructure with ICT equipped classrooms, highly stalked library with large collection of titles, volumes, journals, periodicals, and repositories and well equipped laboratories with upto-date technologies provide the students a highly accommodative and supportive learning ambience. The institution is well known among the student community for its  round the year student activities that hone the skills of studnets in various areas. The college celebrates all festivals of religious, social, and national importance like Independence Day and Republic Day, birth and death anniversaries of patriotic and nationally and internationally popular personalities. It also conducts various events including Induction Day– ALAAP; Samaroh– Mini Convocation Day; Vasantha Panchami– Aurora Foundation Day; ANUBHUTI– Annual Day; Aurora Family Day; Guru Pranam– Teachers Day; and many more.

Ideology-driven Personality

The institution is led by its Director, Dr Madhavi Madireddy, who is a seasoned academician and active researcher. She has a rich experience of 25 years in teaching with 5 years research and a couple of years of industry experience. She has been the frontrunner of the institution since 2013. Under the able guidance of Sri Raja Babu Nimmatoori, the Chairman and Dr Ramesh Nimmatoori, the Secretary of Aurora Group, she has introduced new age initiatives in teaching learning methodologies making it more participative and interactive to the students.

She has guided the institutions towards Accreditation with ‘A+’ Grade in 2018, during the first cycle of accreditation, the landmark that only ‘6’ institutions in the State of Telangana could achieve. She is a trained assessor of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), for Assessment Accreditation of Institutions since 2019 and has participated in accreditation process of a couple of institutions.

She is a Reviewer  for internationally renowned ‘Emerald Journals-USA’ and ‘Inder-science Journals- Switzerland’. She has to her credit 42 research articles published in various national, international journals, edited volumes and many presentations at national and international seminars and conferences. She is the author of “Principal’s Handbook for MBA Colleges” and “Students Academic Manual for MBA” which were granted  copyrights by the Government of India in 2014 and 2018 respectively. She has been a guide to various students internships and projects for over two decades. She has been the Convenor and Coordinator for various National Seminars, Conferences, Workshops, Training Programs and Faculty Development Programs. Her initiatives have fetched the institute various Memorandums of Understanding with multiple industries as well as collaborations between training, entrepreneurship and development organizations.
