Once the candidate clears all the levels of the SSC CGL exam and is selected as an “Assistant Audit Officer”, the candidate will be posted under the Indian Audit & Accounts department. Job Profile: – Assistant Audit Officer is a desk job. There is no fieldwork required. The person at the job is responsible for the following duties:

The job profile mostly includes financial auditing, performance analysis, and compliance audits.

The candidate will have duties for issuing some particular instructions to the government departments. Hence, in future, the govt. departments can make expenditures accurately by working on these recommendations.

The person as an Assistant Section Officer will get a promotion to Section Officer within 5-7 years once they have joined. Income Tax Inspector

Grade- C

Department – CBDT (Central Board of Direct Taxes)

Age limits: cannot exceed 30 years

CBDT has the responsibility to assemble the direct taxes in the country. The direct taxes consist of income tax, wealth tax, corporate tax, etc. It regulates under the Department of Revenue of the Ministry of Finance. Job Profile: After deputation in the Income Tax Department as an Income Tax Inspector, one can work under any of the two parts of the department.

There are two types of sections:

  • Assessment Section
  • Non-Assessment Section

In the Assessment section, the job chiefly consists of executing all works which are related to the desk, which comes under the Income Tax Inspector title. One has to assess the income tax of a person or company, which is answerable to pay. Besides that, one has to take care of the refund declarations and queries related to TDS

The CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) is a premier investigating agency of India. It is known for investigating several economic crimes, special crimes, cases of corruption, and other high-profile cases.

Job Profile: As a Sub-Inspector in CBI, one will execute the following responsibilities:

  • This is mainly a field job. It consists of an investigation of several types of crimes. The main and foremost cases will be those, which are not solved by the local police.
  • To solve and handle the crime areas, one will get comprehensive training in crime investigation and sometimes, when one goes on a raid, one will also be provided a pistol or revolver for self-protection.
