3,660 Temporary Teaching Posts to Be Extended; TN Ordinance Released: 3,660 Temporary Teaching positions have been granted a continuous extension thanks to a recently issued directive. In Tamil Nadu, new temporary positions totaling 2,760—300 head teachers and 2,460 senior teachers—were created between 1990 – 2019 academic year.

The government had been asked by the director of school education to extend the terms of these positions through the end of December 2021.  The government issued an order extending the 2,760 temporary posts created in renovated government schools until the year 2026 after the school education department cautiously accepted it. Similar to this, the temporary appointments of 900 senior instructors in 100 improved government schools during the academic year 2011–2013 came to an end in December of the previous year.

The government had been asked for a serial extension order by the director of school instruction.  After carefully considering his proposal, the government issued a serial extension order for 900 temporary teaching positions in improved government schools until 2027. The authorities of the education department claimed that by doing this, the instructors would promptly receive their monthly salaries.
