KVS 2023 Age Limit:
If a student applies for admission in the year after passing the Class X examination, there is no age restriction for admission to Class XI. Similar to class XI, there are no upper or lower age restrictions for admission to class XII as long as the student has continued to study continuously after graduating class XI.
The age requirements for admission to various courses at Kendriya Vidyalayas are listed below:

| VII | 11 years but less than 13 years of age |
| VIII | 12 years but less than 14 years of age. |
| IX | 13 years but less than 15 years of age. |

KVS 2023 Class X & XII Eligibility Criteria:
Other than KV students, new admissions to classes X and XII will be considered if spaces are available. The Deputy Commissioner of the Region in question will only consider such admissions to classes X and XII if there are less than 40 students enrolled in those classes on average.
