Since the recruitment was not done for the past 2 years, there were demands to relax the age limit for the applicants. Accordingly, the age limit for the candidates has been relaxed by 2 years. At the same time, the last date for submission of applications for the post of Police Constable has also been extended by the Government. The new order issued in this regard, the age limit for the SC/ST category applying for the post of Civil Police Constable has been announced as 29 years.

Similarly, the age limit has been extended to 27 years for other categories, 32 years for tribals, 35 years for service (SC/ST), and 33 years for service (general). Also, the Government of Karnataka has announced that in Armed Police Constable category SC/ST category will be relaxed for 29 years, others will be 27 years, and tribals will be 32 years.
