The High Court of Madras has ordered the submission of a recruitment report for filling up the vacant posts of Assistant Professor in Government and Arts Colleges across Tamil Nadu. That is, about 10,000 professor and assistant professor posts are vacant in 167 government arts and science colleges, 51 polytechnic colleges, 10 government engineering colleges and 16 universities in Tamil Nadu.
