SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2018-19– Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts an open competitive exam, for recruitment to the post of Junior Engineers (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical), Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted. The SSC Junior Engineer 2019 exam is likley to be held in the month of March/ April 2019. The online application form will be released from 15 December 2018. Prior to applying online, aspirants need to refer the complete SSC JE 2018 Eligibility Criteria. The eligibility norms include the minimum age limit and the educational qualification required. - For JE (Civil & Electrical) in CPWD and Department of Posts- The candidate’s age must be between 18-27 years.
- For JE (Civil) & JE (Electrical & Mechanical) in MES- The candidate’s age should not exceed 30 years.

SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2018-19- Nationality/Citizenship
Candidates must satisfy the listed norms for nationality-
- An Indian Citizen
- A Citizen of Nepal
- A Citizen of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Candidates who belong to the categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) need to produce a valid eligibility certificate, issued by the Government of India.
