Established in 1994 in collaboration with the University of West London, UK, International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) runs the largest chain of schools offering globally recognized international degree in hospitality management. The college offers a multicultural environment, modern infrastructure, and real-time facilities to offer students an everlasting educational experience. Students from different countries gather here to avail the in-house training hotel, IndiSmart. IIHM also offers students the option to study overseas at George Brown College and Niagara College, Canada, IUBH Germany and other colleges in overseas. Life at IIHM

The college provides students the scope to celebrate every moment of life. Various events including sports, music, dance, dramatics, festivals, and competitions are conducted so that students can experience a vibrant campus life. Excellent Infrastructure

IIHM is spread across a sprawling campus of 100,000 sq. ft., which consists of two buildings- The Tower and the Corporate Block. The Tower has nine levels, which includes classrooms, IT-enabled kitchens, and a wine lab. On the other hand, the Corporate Block has three levels, which house the David Foskett Auditorium, restaurants, conference rooms, and offices. The auditorium is designed in the college’s signature blue brand color, and can accommodate up to 150 people.

The college is located in Sector V, the IT hub of Kolkata, which is surrounded by some of India’s best IT companies including Wipro, PWC, and IBM. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the classrooms provide students brilliant educational experience. Additionally, there are also two large IT-enabled kitchens; one kitchen fuels the bakery, confectionary, and hot kitchen, while the other is a studio kitchen. One of the kitchens is equipped with audio-visual facilities, with additional facility of instant video upload. The college also conducts live video workshops by renowned chefs from around the world, which the students can attend online.

The person leading IIHM from the front is none other than Dr. Suborno Bose, the Founder of the institute. He is a chartered accountant with over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience in India and abroad. He is also the founder and chief mentor of the Indismart Group. Dr. Bose is inarguably the country’s best known hospitality educator with the presence of his institute’s major brands like IIHM and IAM Hotel Schools. He has been conferred the honorary Doctorate of Business Administration by Edinburgh Napier University, UK and the honorary award of Doctorate of Science by the University of West London, U.K. at London.
