Inspiria Knowledge Campus’s much-anticipated “Inspiria Futsal Mania” kicked off on 25th August. The futsal tournament took place at InTurf – Inspiria’s brand new indoor sporting arena. Seame fully organised by the Department of Sports Management. The tournament was organized to foster unity and healthy competition among various departments. We also witnessed fierce battles, nail-biting moments, and outstanding performances throughout its two-day run. With thrilling matches and enthusiastic participation, the event was a true celebration of sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Day 1: The Clash of Titans

On the tournament’s opening day, the atmosphere was electrifying as four exciting matches unfolded. BBA Account Taxation and Auditing (BBA ATA) and BBA Global Business (BBA GB) kicked off the action, with ATA securing a victory in a closely contested match. Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) showcased their prowess in the next game against BBA Hospital Management (BBA HM), securing another win. BBA (Sports Management) and the School of Media Science engaged in a thrilling battle, with BBA SM emerging victorious. The day’s final match was between BBA-E and BBA, and the latter claimed a well-deserved victory.

In a thrilling knockout match, BBA Digital Marketing (BBA-DM) emerged victorious against BSc Hospitality and Hotel Administration (BSc HHA), paving their way to the next round. However, their journey was cut short as they faced a formidable BCA side, who went on to win the match.

Day 2: The Road to the Finals

With the field narrowing down to the top four teams, the excitement reached new heights on the second day. In the semi-finals, BBA-ATA faced BBA, and it was the former who secured their spot in the finals with a brilliant performance. The second semi-final saw a determined BSM outplaying BCA to book their place in the championship clash.

The Grand Finale

The finale witnessed a packed arena eagerly awaiting the two finalists to take the field. BBA SM and BBA-ATA faced off in a gripping contest. The atmosphere was electric as the teams battled it out for the ultimate title. Although the match was closely-fought, BSM emerged victorious with the only goal of the game, scored by Sudhama Barman.

Women’s Futsal Tournament

The Inspiria Futsal Mania also featured two teams in the women’s category: The Mountain Girls and The Ocean Girls. These spirited young women showcased their skills and determination, with the Mountain Girls emerging victorious.

Prize Distribution Ceremony

The tournament’s success would not have been possible without the support of the sponsors, Decathlon Siliguri. During the prize distribution ceremony, the Principal and Dean of Inspiria Knowledge Campus graced the occasion, handing over well-deserved trophies and accolades.

In the men’s futsal tournament, Sudhama Barman received the Golden Boot award for scoring an impressive five goals throughout the event. The Player of the Tournament title was awarded to Aman Gurung for his outstanding performance. Manas Deb Singh was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament for his exceptional saves and agility.

In the women’s tournament, Sadhana Rai was awarded the Player of the Tournament for her exceptional performance, while Rinzi Tamang was honoured as the Best Goalkeeper for her brilliant goalkeeping skills.

Conclusion
