Eligibility for Admission
For the purpose of admission, a candidate shall have pass the qualifying examination in the subjects prescribe by Gujarat University from time to time from the Gujarat Board, the Central Board of Secondary Education, the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi, the National Institute of Open Schooling, the International School Board, A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination from any State other than Gujarat.
A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination from other than Gujarat Board and CBSE from outside Gujarat State shall be required to obtain Provisional Eligibility Certificate ( PEC) from Gujarat University before registration.
Reservation of Seats
For the purpose of admission, the seats reserve for the candidates who are of Gujarat origin and falling under the following categories and in following proportion, namely
- Scheduled Castes: 7%
- Scheduled Tribes: 15%
- Socially and Educationally Backward Classes: 27%
A candidate seeking admission on reserved seat shall be required to produce a Certificate of Caste.

Gujarat University BSc Merit List 2018
The merit list of the candidates who have apply for admission in the manner prescribe by the Admission Committee, within the prescribe time limit and who are found eligible for admission under these rules, merit list prepare in the following manner, namely for the candidates who have pass the qualifying examination from any of the Boards mentioned in the eligibility percentage of marks obtained in the theory subjects shall be the merit marks.
